How to Insert Animated GIFs into Outlook

Insert a Picture

Open a new email message in Outlook.

Click the "Insert" tab.

Click "Pictures" and select the animated GIF you want to insert.

Use an Add-in

Install an add-in from your favorite GIF provider, such as GIPHY or Tenor.

Once the add-in is installed, you'll see a new button in the Outlook ribbon.

Click the button and search for the GIF you want to insert.

Limitations

Outlook 2016

Note that Outlook 2016 does not support inserting animated GIFs directly into emails.

Older Outlook Versions

If you're using an older version of Outlook, you may be able to insert an animated GIF as an attachment.
