Finding the Serial Number

You can find the serial number printed on the underside of your Mac near the regulatory markings. It's also on the original packaging next to a barcode.

Or, you can use the following tools to find the serial number of your Mac, iPod, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, or other Apple devices:

Looking Up the Serial Number

Once you have the serial number, you can look it up on the Apple website to find out which model and year your device is. You can also use the serial number to check the warranty status of your device.
