Edmonton Oilers Struggle on Home Ice
The Edmonton Oilers suffered a disappointing 4-1 loss to the Florida Panthers in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final at Rogers Place on Sunday night. Despite starting the game with a goal from Evander Kane, the Oilers were unable to sustain their momentum and allowed four unanswered goals from the Panthers.
The Panthers' offense was led by Aleksander Barkov, who scored two goals, and Carter Verhaeghe, who added a goal and an assist. Sergei Bobrovsky made 34 saves for the Panthers, while Stuart Skinner stopped 28 shots for the Oilers.
The Oilers will now head home facing a 2-0 series deficit. Game 3 is scheduled for Tuesday night at Rogers Place.
