Goosebumps: The Movie
Goosebumps is a 2015 American horror comedy film directed by Rob Letterman and written by Darren Lemke based on R.L. Stine's popular children's book series of the same name.
The film stars Jack Black as R.L. Stine, Dylan Minnette as Zach Cooper, Odeya Rush as Hannah Fairchild, and Ryan Lee as Champ. The film follows Zach as he moves to a new town and discovers that his neighbor is R.L. Stine, the author of the Goosebumps series. When Zach accidentally releases the monsters from the books, he must team up with Stine and his daughter Hannah to stop them from wreaking havoc on the town.
The film received mixed reviews from critics, but was a box office success, grossing over $150 million worldwide. A sequel, Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween, is scheduled to be released in 2018.
Goosebumps is a fun and exciting film that is sure to please fans of the book series and horror comedies in general. Black is excellent as Stine, and the young cast is also very good.
