Hamilton: Monza feels different this time
Hamilton hails Mercedes progress, top 6 "realistic" target
Seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton says this weekend's Italian Grand Prix at Monza feels different, as Mercedes continue to make progress with their W13 car.
Hamilton finished second in last weekend's Dutch Grand Prix, his second podium in a row, and says Mercedes have made "small improvements" to the car that have helped him challenge at the front of the field.
"Monza is going to be a tough one for us, but I think we have a slightly better understanding of the car and we can start to eke out a bit more performance," said Hamilton.
Hamilton: Top 6 "realistic" target
Hamilton says he is aiming for a top-six finish at Monza, and believes that would be a "realistic" target for Mercedes.
"I think a top-six finish is realistic, but we'll have to see how the car performs in qualifying," said Hamilton.
"We're still not as quick as Red Bull and Ferrari, but we're making progress and I'm confident that we can close the gap in the coming races."
