ATP Beijing 2024: Sinner and Alcaraz set to clash in a draw stacked with top 10 players

An intriguing draw has been revealed for the 2024 ATP Beijing tournament, with Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz among the top seeds.

The Italian and the Spaniard have been in impressive form in recent months, and they will be among the favorites to lift the title in the Chinese capital.

Sinner is currently ranked 11th in the world, while Alcaraz is ranked 12th. However, both players have the potential to challenge the very best in the world, and they will be eager to prove their credentials in Beijing.

The draw for the tournament has been split into two halves, with Sinner and Alcaraz placed in opposite halves.

Sinner will face a tough first-round match against Andrey Rublev, the Russian who is currently ranked 8th in the world.

If Sinner can overcome that challenge, he could then face Stefanos Tsitsipas, the Greek who is currently ranked 4th in the world, in the quarter-finals.

Alcaraz, meanwhile, has a slightly easier draw on paper.

The Spaniard will face a qualifier in the first round, before potentially facing Matteo Berrettini, the Italian who is currently ranked 6th in the world, in the quarter-finals.

The semi-finals could see Sinner and Alcaraz face off in a mouth-watering clash, with the winner of that match likely to be the favorite to win the title.

The other half of the draw features some of the other top players in the world, including Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Daniil Medvedev.

Djokovic is the top seed for the tournament, and he will be looking to win his fourth ATP Beijing title.

Nadal is the second seed, and he will be hoping to add to his record-breaking tally of 22 Grand Slam titles.

Medvedev is the third seed, and he will be aiming to win his first ATP Beijing title.
